Project Background:
USES initiated a strategic planning process, Vision 125, in August 2016, to reimagine its mission, vision, and goals. The strategic plan was accepted by the Board in the fall of 2017, and implementation began. However, unforeseen circumstances such as a flood, community protests over the sale of 566 Columbus Avenue, and the COVID-19 pandemic have impacted operations. USES now seeks to realign its strategic plan in response to these events to better guide resource allocation and program priorities.

1. Identify key issues impacting the strategic plan.
2. Define roles for staff and Board members.
3. Determine information needed for the realignment process.
2. Affirm USES Mission and Values:

3. Gather input from internal and external stakeholders.
